Dave built our 2 story, 3,000 sqft home, and we couldn't have been happier with him. We originally chose Dave because he estimated a shorter time on completion than other contractors, and a more reasonable price. He delivered on both! From tear down to finish, we had our brand new home built in 6 months to the day. He has a great relationship with his subs, and treats them with respect (which was important to us). Our favorite part about David was his willingness to solve any issues that came up with his subcontractors. We had an issue where a piece of granite arrived cracked for our kitchen. The granite yard said the stone guys broke it en route, and the stone subs said the yard gave them an already cracked piece. There was no way to know the truth, and David swallowed the cost for us. That showed us someone who truly honors both his clients and his own responsibility as the general contractor. He also had great aesthetic input on our home, and since we didn't have a designer, this helped me greatly when it came time for major selections. I would definitely use him again if we ever decided to build again, and we have recommended him to all of our friends. David made building our first house a wonderful experience, and we are so happy with our home!Read More
Dave Powers Construction did an awesome job on our remodel. We tore everything down but the kitchen. Reworked floor plan, added a bedroom, bathroom, extended front and back and completely new roof design. Dave told us 6 mo. And if I hadn't delayed the stucco color choice he would have had us back in at 5 months. Dave helped make the process go smoothly. Always ahead of the game. Best part of the process was (besides him making everything go so smoothly and that there was no tension between my husband and I during the entire process) he listened to all we wanted to get out of the remodel, made suggestions, made sure we did not make wrong decisions, always returned calls and e-mails promptly and did it with the most positive attitude. Dave Powers Construction recently completed a full rebuild of our one story home, to a two story home. This included a full demo, foundation and engineering, and rebuilding from, basically, the ground up. The project took about 10 months to complete, which is within the timeline/range set forth prior to the commencement of the project. Importantly, the completed rebuild was reasonably within our initial target budget. Throughout the 10 months, my wife and I found Dave to be very responsive and attentive to our (sometimes changing) needs. He offered guidance and alternatives to save costs and enhance design features whenever appropriate. He worked well with architects, engineers, the city, and numerous sub contractors to navigate through a complicated build. 6 months post move-in, we are extremely happy with the end result and have recommended DPC to friends and family.Read More
